Job description:
We are looking to recruit an English Teacher, at a good school in the Wolverhampton area.
Duties will include:
To encourage students to read and analyse literature, improving their critical thinking skills
Playing a key role in engaging pupils and helping them reach their potential through your own passion for the subject
To assist students to formulate their own ideas and reasoning strategies while studying English
Planning, preparing, delivering and reviewing lessons and other activities to ensure the effective progress of assigned students in the agreed specifications
Setting regular and relevant homework, learning and assessment which enable students to take responsibility for their own learning as well as promoting a high standard of behaviour, test and assignments to support and consolidate learning
Qualifications Required:
The successful candidate will possess a Teaching qualification (ECT's are welcome to apply)
Experience of planning, delivering, assessing and evaluating teaching and learning
The ability to demonstrate knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject area and the ability to provide timely, accurate and effective feedback on learners' attainment
